last month, i was given a complimentary credit card by the bank because of my good record with them. (hehe, it was actually dad's clean record with the bank, but i dont know what happen along the way, i was the one chosen to get the card..perhaps i know, but it's a long story). and after collecting the card from the bank, i started to get calls from strangers..strangers here, referring to unknown numbers and all of them were KL line, where the numbers start with 03-xxxx xxxx. so far, i've got 3 calls..1) AIG, the insurance company, 2) WWF, 3) the ARMADA, the i-dunno-what company. they started the conversation with a friendly tone, trying to catch my attention.

the first call, from AIG, they offered a so-called very good premium only for selected people (and kononnya, i was lucky to be selected) and the premium is to cover any small accidents including snatch cases and many more which i didnt really concentrate during the conversation because i just hope that i can end it as soon as possible..all i have to pay is RM30 ONLY per month. if i agree, payment will be automatically made through my credit card. believe it or not i AGREED! when i told mom about it, she asked me to call them back to cancel it. it is not necessary because i have already have my life insurance. luckily i asked for their customer service number because i guess i will regret with my decision, and i need to call them back. but the bad thing is, until today, i cant get through the customer service line. *sigh*

the second call was from WWF, and i would not talk much about this. basically, they ask for donation/fund. and i can choose how much would i want to give. either RM30, RM50 or RM100. i chose to give RM30 and opted that they deduct from my bank account rather than my credit card..and i AGREED to this too..for this, i'm okay because i'm helping the wildlife. i would not know if they misuse the fund, but God knows.

after a few days, the third call came. i cant take it anymore that people asking me to agree and pay for something that i dont really want to. i learned to say NO. the lady on the other line asked for all my particulars..my IC number, my home address, my position in the company, etc etc etc..then, when i feel like im giving away to much information, i asked her, what is she offering me (sigh! i should ask this even before i give any info about myself!). she offered a VIP card which the membership is free for life bla- bla- bla- bla- bla..the 'free-for- life' words are so nice to hear, and in the end of her sentence, 'kami hanya kenakan bayaran RM588 sekali sahaja'. this is how people got tricked. i learnt my lesson. i firmly told her that she dont have to send anything to me, because I AM NOT INTERESTED WITH HER CARD! she actually tried to persuade me with her soft voice asking, 'kenapa cik sandra tak nak?' bla- bla- bla..and i keep on saying, 'SAYA TIDAK BERMINAT!' in a slightly higher tone. i think i repeated the same sentence for about 4-5 times..finally she gave up and hung up the phone even before she finish her sentence. i think she was annoyed.
at least, i made my point.
