when i arrived in the office at 8am, it was dark, the air-conditioner was not on. then, i knew it must be no electricity. that's the problem in Sabah..sigh. but we still have to continue with our internal meeting. so, we had our meeting from 9am till 12pm. that's the only thing we can do without wasting our time.

when it was 12:30pm, we were hoping that SESB will have already settled the problem.

but, too bad, we were still in the dark and warmth. we would not want to waste our precious time, so we decided to decorate the reception area.

unsafe act/unsafe condition (UA/UC)..this shall be reported to the safety officer ;p

at around 1:30pm, jess announced that if there's still no electricity until 2pm, we can leave the office..but with condition, we have to settle all the things that need to be settled. and because we are in the microbiological division and we are dealing with living things, we need to subculture all the bacteria culture into another enriched media.

at exactly 2pm, most of them had left and we still have to make sure that day's task is done. fortunately, or should i say unfortunately, and 2:10pm, there was light!, fan was moving! and we have to continue until 5:30pm. and the rest who had left were called to be back into the office, or leave a half-day leave will be deducted..hmm..

what a day!

Currently, this is my bedtime storybook =) i bought it long long time ago, which was on 11.03.2005. that was like, 5 years ago..hehe. i'm on page 543 out of 897. i do not know why did i not read this 5 years ago, perhaps save the best for last? nah, not exactly..

although this is a fiction book, but the way Wally Lamb wrote it, will really brings you into Dominick's world..and just to give a brief introduction; Dominick has a paranoid schizophrenic twin brother, Thomas.

on the back cover of the book, 'this deeply moving and profoundly satisfying novel illuminates our most urgent need and fears: our desire for love and acceptance, our struggle to survive, our yearning for self- determination. from anger through confusion to resolution. Dominick's journey will leave no reader untouched.'

i shed tears when i read page 516, when Joy poured out everything from her heart to Dominick on a tape, to explain to him how she became pregnant. that's a big question Dominick really need the answer because he got a vasectomy after his daughter, Angela died..and there's no way Joy can get pregnant by him!

i have yet to finish the book..and now i'm at the part where Dominick is reading a book written by his grandpa..and from the book, he might know who his real father is.

The Tip of Borneo or also known as Simpang Mengayau is situated in Kudat. if you look at the map of sabah, you will see the head of a dog. kudat is at the left ear of the dog and Tip of Borneo is the tip of that left ear. that's the place where Sulu Sea meets South China Sea..but when we were there, we couldn't differentiate which is Sulu and which is South China. hehe..

milia had to work on saturday because the factory in Langkon (a place near Kudat) will be audited by the auditor. therefore she needs to be there for the audit. since milia has to drive from KK to Langkon, which is about 2hours drive, and she'll be very bored to be alone in the car, she suggested that we go to simpang mengayau, after her audit, where we (milia, ben, ahmeng and i) never been yet. so, we agreed. we departed from home at around 6am and arrive Langkon at 8am. the audit finished at 1030am and we started our journey to simpang mengayau from there.

since none of us have been there, so we used ben's GPS to lead our way. it's not really hard to find because there's no complicated route or junction to the destination.

we arrived there at exactly 12pm. it was extremely hot but the blowing wind and the beauty of the place were enough to make us forget about the glaring sun.

and we had to go up this nature-made stairs again

after we got our sunburn, we went to kudat town to get mom's peanut and the famous kacang kudat. and at the same time, had our lunch. we found a place (recommended by milia's friend) and i would say, the food was good. erm, maybe because we were hungry..hehe.

then, we went back to KK and stop-by Tuaran to look for henry because he promised us, whenever we come to visit him in Tuaran, he will surely treat us tuaran mee. so we got!
