some random thoughts..

i shall do my revision on additional mathematics subjects by now. i hope i can teach add maths next year..at least i can have extra income from tuition classes that i teach. besides that, i can refresh brain by doing those questions. it is true that, when i do more mathematical questions, i can think better and faster..and also creatively..hehe.

last night, after chit-chatting with henry, ah meng and milia, i found out that i am very vey underpaid by my company. dad asked me, how much do i get every month, and when i told dad the amount of my monthly salary, he immediately asked me to resign and help him. well, obviously he is not serious about it..perhaps 50% of joke and 50% of seriousness.. of course, eventually, i'll be helping him with his business, but it's just not the time yet.

i enjoy what i'm doing now, although i'm underpaid *sob sob*.. and i will make those nutrition labeling parameters to get their accreditation in KK Lab by next year, then only i will think about leaving the company..and i give myself a year to accomplish this.

my new baking partner! strong and powerful! hehe~

mom got me a new hand mixer yesterday, as an early birthday present. my previous hand-mixer has faulty motor after working with me for almost a year. i think it's because of beating too much of hard cream cheese and butter.. and it is also my fault, for not letting them to be really soft before beating.

but, this new partner is strong because it's made of stainless steel and very powerful. the no.1 speed is similar to no.5 speed of my previous hand- mixer. imagine that.. hehe..

and my first cake with my new baking partner ;-)

this is not the normal airplane's wing

i was away to our HQ in Kuching from 13th until 17th..the two main purposes i was there were to be present at their annual audit ISO 17025 so that i'll be able to be interviewed as approved signatory for HQ microbiological parameters and also to learn about the nutritional labeling parameters so that i'll be able to set up these parameters our lab in KK.

because it's MASWings..small..warm..unstable..long-journey..

thus, coming back from Kuching, i ;

1. got recommended as the approved signatory for all of HQ parameters, while there will be limitation for Ms. Jong's scope..now i wil just have to wait for the letter from DSM (thank God, everything went well..and i know there are so many things that i need to brush up on)
2. knew how to carry out the ash analysis (this is as easy as 1-2-3)
3. knew how to carry out the moisture analysis (this is as easy as A-B-C)
4. knew how to carry out the fat analysis for both Soxhlet and Rose- Gottlieb methods (theoretically, Rose-Gottlieb is easier to understand, but practically Soxhlet is much much much easier to do- so, i prefer doing Soxhlet..no soluble samples please!hehe)
5. knew how to carry out the protein analysis (as long as i can operate the instrument and titration)
6. knew how to carry out the sugar analysis (this one requires skills and techiques, so..pratice makes perfect)
7. got to know more of the staffs in HQ ( i'm glad to have the opportunity to work with them too)

apart from that:

ok..this is disgusting!

1. i got skin rashes all over my shoulder and arm..and also face.
2. i thought that i got food allergy but very unlikely to happen to me
3. i cant sleep well..forever scrathing!
4. i went to the doctor.
5. doctor said, it could be from the food or chemicals (because i work in the lab)

YIKES!

6. i do some research on the internet regarding bed bugs
7. then, i suspected, it must be something in the room.
8. i asked them to change my bedsheet and comforter's cover
9. i caught three bugs alive in the middle of the night! YIKES!
10. i cant really sleep! scratch and trauma with the bugs!
11. i slept with the bugs for three nights..huhu~
12. i asked for a room change.
13. now, i have red-itchy-ugly skin :(

i still remember during my the first friday gathering with CSSUKM, he was there to bless all the freshies, including me. i didnt know that he was a priest.

Fr.Chris and his balloon- Exco Planning Camp 2005/2006

i thought he was the most senior among all of us, and he was given the honour to bless us, the newcomers.

Group photo- Exco Planning Camp 2005/2006

after a while, i got to know that he was a priest. a very different one. he is a priest yet he is also a father and a friend. i started to join in the CSS (Catholic Students' Society) meeting when i was still in 1st year, which i think i was the youngest among them (the CSS EXCO) during that time.

Group photo- Tian Zhuan (MSG) Annual Camp 2003/2004

i joined them because Lawrence (representative of the MSG- Mandarin Speaking Group) encouraged me to. when lawrence graduated, i took over his position. in the second year, i was the representative of MSG and again i'm in the CSS EXCO meeting.

Tian Zhuan (MSG) Annual Camp 2003/2004

during that period of time, i started to involve actively in CSS activities. most of it is because of the love of friendship that is built among us and also because of the love for Christ, wanting to work for His people.

then, towards the end of my second year, when the CSS EXCO being dissolved, unexpectedly, i was elected as the leader for the coming semester. honestly, it was a very stressful moment. i am afraid. i am not confident. i am nervous. and i broke down on that day. but Fr.Chris was there to comfort me. i told him that i dont think i can do it. he advised me to see things not only from one angle. he asked me to look at a situation, not only from the front but also from above, left, right and below.

Me and Fr.Chris- Inter Campus Camp (Port Dickson)

that one piece of advice made me strong and gave me the courage go forward. in my second semester, another test was given to me. our gathering was interrupted by dean of FSSK and we are not allowed to have gathering in that room anymore.

Our Expectations for the camp- Inter Campus Camp

i felt like i'm a failure and had destroyed the hardwork of the previous leaders. i felt like giving up, but i know i couldnt and i should not. and again, Fr.Chris was there to support me and to walk with me. he assured me that it's not my fault- i just have to work harder and surrender things unto God's hand. i tried my best and passed down to the next generation..

then after i graduated, i find it hard to start the next stage of life- the working world. the commitment and the resposibilities are just to much to carry. once more, another piece of advice from Fr.Chris. 'do take your time to think what you want to do, but not too long. to stay in your comfort zone doesnt make you YOU.'

CSSUKM Praise and Worship 2006

indeed, Fr.Chris has been one of them who've helped me to be the person i am today. the news that Fr.Chris will no longer be with the campus ministry, had really shocked me. i know God has a better plan for him. Jia you, Fr.Chris! =) finally, you graduated..hehe.
